Mechatronics

Also known as the torque converter, the direct shift mechatronic gearbox allows for the smooth execution of the gear changes without the reduction in traction. “Mechatronics” comes from the combination of “mechanics” and “electronics”, made up of the electronic transmission control unit and hydraulic control unit. With a set of computer-controlled clutches, the gearbox replaces the torque converter’s fluid connection.  Unlike conventional automatic transmissions, the gearbox operates hydraulically and further enhances your driving experience, minimising fuel consumption.
